the good news is i finally got a good sized 40k army
Tyranids!!!!!!





I still new a few things or should i say a lot things.
i really want to make a Hormagaunt army just because there my favorite models for them.
But i also have my paint scheme worked out i painted a model today and will use this for it.





I tryed to make them buggish, like if you saw them in real life thats what they'd look like,
I used scorched brown for the base coat, with a drybrush highlight of graveyard earth and one last vary light drybrush of bleached bone and then did the highlights with bleached bone on the armor parts, for the claws they were base coated white and a use a water downed snot green to make a kind of ink and to give it a glowy look by drybrushing bleached bone on it.

while i was painting them it made me really want to watch starship troopers, if you've seen that movie you'd no why

its a great one.

which also made me want to do a huge battle of Tyranids and IG and do the movie.

and the better news my order came in for my ice guard for death squads so ill have them up shortly.

Superb - love the gritty/realistic paint scheme and perfect for a big bug army. Nice departure from the colourful tyranids you often see.

They are going to look awesome.

really nice colour scheme Cody, I get sick when I see the standard colour scheme for Tyranids, it's such a waste.

Makes me want to do some photos of what is painted of my tyranid army, I paint them with inspiration from the Alien universe.

I've always had a thing for the biomechanical. Hence why I fell in love with the Cryx helljacks

What else can I say then this is an EVIL planet, A BUG planet!
