As a history teacher myself, I've seen and even played a demo game, but the high cost of EVERYTHING did put me off a little. Now looking into a skirmish WWII game.

I played Flames of war years ago but spent far to much money on it.

For a 1,500pts mid war German Panzer company it would cost me over $900NZD but I could go with Pendraken Miniatures and buy the same amount of minis for $150NZD only difference is Pendraken is 10mm versus the FoW 15mm.

another type of game I place is Wings of War. WWI aircraft game. I was planning on getting into their WWII version first but got hooked on the older planes really quick. Fokker Dr1 the Red Barons plane. The miniatures come pre-painted and are 1/144th and 1/200th scale.

Wings Of War <---- some info.....

Cheers
