Howdy, all! I'm kartofelkopf, from South Carolina. 40k and Mordheim player for 10 (wow, that long already?) years, just found out about Death Squads. Our group is about a week (three games) into a campaign, and we're quite taken with it. Luckily, I play Orks and IG, and a friend plays Eldar, so between us, our group has access to most of the current squads.

Very much looking forward to the next update-- and if anyone is ever down South, let me know! We're a friendly bunch with a penchant for gaming and drinking.

Cheers!

WELCOME kartofelkopf! cheers

I'm glad you like our communal effort. How did you hear about Death Squads ? It would be nice to hear read some of your group adventures and see some of your models. Please let us know what you like and dislike... and if you have any suggestions. We WANT to hear from you guys! Very Happy

The next release is close... there will be several under the hood changes and LOTS of fixes. The game will just get better!

Welcome welcome! You're only two states away from fellow Squaders in both directions.

I forget to mention there is a pretty good DS gaming group in Atlanta as the Hobby House in Douglasville, GA.

I read about it from the dakkadakka post in the skirmish section-- which was actually rather fortuitous, as it was the second or third time I've ever glanced through that section of the forum (I'm a YMDC junkie, OTOH).

I'll track our next game for a report-- our most recent one was a three-way artifact hunt... which ended on turn 4 after someone found the treasure in the first building they came to. Was a bit anti-climactic, but now we know to cluster the buildings towards the middle to ensure some proper action!

Yea, that is me posting on Dakka Dakka that you came across.

We are getting a few bites and I am glad you are trying it out. Some peopel are afraid our 40K Skirmish is like all the other attempts but it is not and it better (or at least I think so Very Happy )

I am hoping to playtest some more Kroot tonight and then in a few weeks go back and check out the Death Korp and more.
