PostSubject: The Mausoleum of Heroes   Wed May 11, 2011 2:04 pm

" Many years ago, an Ork WAAAGH! reach the planet of Hispalis II and attacked the industrial city of Betis. The guard fought well, but the Orks were near to siege the city. At that moment a small company of Marines reached the city with good news; reinforcements were on the way, but they would arrive in a couple of weeks.

The Marines were deployed in a small rocky hill, very important location to avoid the siege of the city.

Those weeks were hard, with continued waves of Orks trying to take that hill. In the last days, the guards of the city lost contact with the hill, but they can see how the Orks continued attacking it.

When the reinforces arrived, the Orks fled. The Governor went to the hill to congratulate and give thank to the Marines, but when he arrived, he saw that the Marines fought until the last man. All of them died to save the city of Betis.

The city of Betis built a mausoleum in that rocky hill to honor those Marines who give their lives to save them."

Sorry about my English Sad

Ahi te dejo... me voy a llorar a otro lado... necesito pintar! Puta mierda... que envidia te tengo, Antonio!

Ohhh man... sorry! I need to translate this. I was... errr... tipsy? Hhehehe...

Quote:
My brother... I have drank a bottle of wine, so I have no inhibitions... {censored} Really you went too far... I imagine the amount of {censored} work you have done to create the rocks of those cliffs. EXCELLENT! Now that you have achieved perfection, you have a new chance of {censored} up everything. HA! I'm such {censored} ... hehehe... in any case, here are some pictures of cliffs for inspiration!

[PICTURES]

More pics here ... link. In any case, I think it is crucial that you put some vegetation. Based on your story, this is like a mausoleum (haha! What a {censored} Of course is a mausoleum! DUH!) What I mean to say is that the place is scared... not recent battle damaged and decades (or centuries) have passed and it is not like someone has tied themselves to clean the cliffs of weeds! There sure be some natural growth over solid rock. Less is more. Some weeds here and there should make the correct effect. After that, the mausoleum should have some time weathering.

I leave you with that... I'm going to cry to another place... I need to paint! {censored} {censored}... I envy you, Antonio!

I'm a pathetic little man!

Nice one. How the rocks where made? Only sharp blade and then filed? Some hot wire cuts? Or alternative use of that glue gun from last picture?

Ive done some more work with it (im being soo slow )

The start of the chapel (is the word for "capilla", isnt it? )

It can be opened to place models inside, will have gates, a tomb inside and need some work in the top, but i need more time.

A really impressive piece the way it's coming together is superb - statues lining the route up to the mausoleum would be the way to go for me. i'm intrigued to see this piece finished.
