Hello everyone,
There seemed to be a very high level of interest in a painting and modelling support group. THe consensus name chosen was "Paint for the Paint God". The idea is that you create painting and modelling goals for yourself to complete in a 6 month timeline. Each month you will make a goal for that month and post your completed work/progress. Work can include conversions, painting, terrain, dioramas, etc. Each month I will keep track of who has completed there goals and is up to date and who has not.

In this thread please write:
-your 6 month goals
-your 1 month goal

At the start of February I will create a thread for people to post their completed February entries.



Here are my goals:

Narcissus
6 month goals (due end of July)
-complete 20 man Imperial Renegade squad (painted, based, complete)
-complete 18 ork Death Orks of Krieg squad (painted, based, complete)

1 month goal (due end of February)
-paint and base 4 IR workers
-paint and base 4 IR militia
-complete bunker terrain piece

1 Month Goals (end of February)
Paint 'The Albino' and his retinue
Paint and base my Kommandos (3) and Painboy
Model my Chaos Cultists squad (20) and paint my officers (5)

6 Month Goals (end of July)
Complete my Ork Squad (18)
Complete my Chaos Cultists (20)
Paint and base Lugft Huron
Paint and base Tau Battlesuit
Finish my Blakhork model
+ some stuff that will get in the way of these goals

1 Month Goals- End of Feb.
Model up remaining 5 Models for My True Scale Deathwatch Marine Killteam
Begin working on ideas and conversions for Cultists/ Renegades- Ill pick a squad type depending on how the models come out
Secondary/ Optional Goal 1.Contiunue work on my 15MM Ruined city (can prolly add this to every month as it is a long term goal to have a 20-30 building city. This will not be complete in 6 months.
Secondary/ Optional Goal 2.Continue work on 28MM 40K/ Gothic City- Again long term

6 Month Goals- End of July
Finish The DW Killteam
Finish the Killteams ride my new pretty pimped out Stromraven
Finish the Renegades/ Cultist squad

6 month goals (due end of July)
- Complete 20 man Imperial Guard Catachan Squad, THE EYE POKERS (painted, dipped, based, complete)
- Complete 18 Ork Mob, The WHITE WAAAGH! (painted, based, complete)
- Build 5 Dark Eldar Pain Tokens

1 month goal (due end of February)
- Photograph DeafNala's models
- Build 5 Dark Eldar Pain Tokens: magnetize, based, sculpted... they are for Dozer!
- Base paint and dip my 6 Catachan Officers and Ogryn

I'm SOOOOOOOOOO screwed!

6 Month Goals
- Build, Paint, and Base 3 Dark Eldar Ravagers
- Build, Paint, and Base 10 man squad of Dark Eldar Helions
- Paint and Base 20 man IG squad (Steel Legion Models)
- Paint and Base all of Mord's Cultist Models
- Paint and Base 10 man Dark Eldar Warrior Squad

1 Month Goals
- Paint Mord's Officers for Chaos Cultists, using a different and new painting technique for each (5 total)
- Finish painting 10 man Warrior Squad (5 out of 10 incomplete).

I unfortunately hold my painting to high standards, and I am not above completely stripping a model if I am unsatisfied with the results.....so my 1 month goal to finish Mord's officers will be......interesting to say the least....

6 MONTH GOAL:
1. Finish Maudeheim Board & Inhabitants
2. Finish Night & Regular Goblin War Bands [500 pts. each]
3. Finish Da Bank's anticipated Squad 1 month after receipt.
4. Motivate Mordheimer to finish taking photos of minis sent.

January:
1. Base & paint the staff of Fast Flo's [12 mini]...DONE!
2. Motivate Mordheimer to take photos [see 4 above]...TOTAL FAILURE

February:
1. Finish Goblin Archers [10minis]
2 Finish Ogre Mercenaries [8 minis]
3. Paint the ground level on the Maudeheim Board
4. see 3 on 6 month Goals
5. Motivate Mordheimer as in 4 & 2 in the above sections

6 month goal:
Chaplain
Librarian in TA Armor
Librarian in PA Armor
Renegade Squad
Hellhammer

1st. month due end of Feb.

February goals
Model the Catachan Squad

Like Doom, I reserve the right to edit this list. In contrast to him, however, I have a valid reason to do so (): my own little daemonette of Slaanesh will arrive in May! Though she will prolly turn out to be quite Nurgly... Anyhow, I'll be a first time dad and I have NO idea what kind of stuff is coming my way. So I'll either be painting tons as a way of releasing tension... or I'll be too buggered to paint at all. We'll see!

6 Month Goal:
1. Paint and base Last Chancers.
2. Finish undead warband.
3. Finally paint my alternate catachan captain.
4. Finish 2 O&G units off.
5. Model, base and start painting ork squad.
6. Increase the quantity and quality of scenery.

1 month goal:
1. Paint and base 4 last chancers.
2. Model ork squad.
3. Make a terrain piece.

Should be able to do this, but new orcs and goblins are coming.....

ok heres my 6 month goal

1. finish and base orks
2. finish witch hunter warband with or without warhounds( long story)
3.increase quality of painting,buy washes, etc
4.start collecting empire stirland army

1 month goal

1. paint 4 more orkz
2. finish coverting nobz looted carapace armour
3. print off terrain peices

OK so Ive already screwed up and had to edit my post because I got something new and shiny today-My Stormraven. Gotta love black boxes and painting for a store

I saw NO to the cowards who hange commitments!!!! If I'm screwed... we ALL need to be screwed! Besides, if we change the goals constantly, what is the point of this? Set the goals to something you can do... and if something happens you be OK. If you do more... then I will hate you.
