"If you want to join the death squads, you have to really like 40k."
"I do!"
"Oh yeah, how much?"
"A lot!"
"Right, you're in."

altered quotes aside, I have been playing 40k for 3 years now, and lord of the rings for 4.
I collect raven guard (5,000pts), grey knights (WIP- 400pts), steel legion (3,000pts), death korps (WIP-45pts Very Happy), heresy-era raven guard using C:BA (WIP 1200pts), orks (2,000pts) and tyranids (2,000pts).

This is my 4th 40k forum site that I've joined, and I see you've nicked dakkadakka's Idea orkmoticon, as well as added your own, Puke.
I'm 14 years old and live in beford, england.
I enjoy comedy films (especially old ones- they don't make 'em like they used to), comedy TV shows (again, especially old ones- blackadder, fawlty towers, ect.) and reading.

that's me! cheers

That's NO excuse! Use your school computer, your parents' computer, I don't care! If you collect THAT many armies in such a short time... WE DEMAND PICS!

Very Happy

You don't necessarily need to like 40K to be here: e.g., I hate Space Marines & think most of the background is drivel, AND I'm here...I just haven't figure out why Suspect . That aside...WELCOME ABOARD! What a Face

I will post pics of my heresy-era army in april, as well as my mr. potato head stompa, my steel legion (139th regiment) shadowsword and my fortress of arrogance. You will also see:
Scout sergeant Caddius- He has more kills than any other of my infrantry models.
Falchion- those veteran gamers will know what they are.
Ursus assault rhino- A converted rhino of mine- basically the length of two with an assault ramp on the front.
The shadow ravens- an elite squad consisting of a biker captain, biker chaplain, biker libby, 6 jumper captains, a jumper chaplain, 2 jumper libbies, shrike, korvydae, a jumper chapter master and 10 vanguard veterans, 6 with thunder hammers and storm shields, 4 with lightning claws.
BTW to give you an indication of how feared Caddius is to my regular gaming opponent, he chooses to shoot Caddius and not the shadow ravens.

Fawlty Towers is awesome... one of those shows that makes me laugh at the slightest joke, and has me in stitches for the whole episode.

Also, I would like to heap on more friendly peer-pressure. Those armies sound very, very enormous and would be awesome to see. Always like to hear, "I'm working on a Heresy-Era army...".

Well, I mainly got so much because:
Orks- my brother sold me about 50 orks, warboss, ghazghkull, 5 nobz and 2 deffkoptas for £20. I then converted a 1000- point kustom stompa.
My cousing game me about 3000pts worth of SM, but I think I only have about half that left- I like converting, and a lot of it was SW, so, yeah...
I have about 10kpts worth of models that I've bought, but about 1/4 is lost amongst old books, old board games and boxes of lego and other childhood pastimes around my room.

I've never been to a tourney, and was planning to this may, but I'm going on holiday then. I don't want a big tournament where everyone goes, or even a serious one. I don't play to win, I play to have fun. (Which is why my heresy-era army has no terminators, because RG's ones got wiped out during istvaan, and no redeemers, my favorite SM tank because they weren't around during the heresy. I want a small friendly tourney, so tourney's aren't for me. Very Happy

Welcome shrike!

We are glad you joined us... Death Squads is your game now, so you go and have fun! If you find stuff not to your liking, feel free to let us know... we will see what we can do to improve it.

No pics? Mordheimer sad... Sad
No pics of well over 14,000 points? Mordheimer sad, 14,000 times. Sad x 14,000.
No pics of Mr. Potato Head Stompa? Mordheimer MAD!!!! Mad If I were you... I would hide.
I may FLY to the UK just to Smack you for denying me pictures of such GREAT Orkish Kreation! WE DEMAND PICTURES!

Well... keep me posted. AND if you think I will forget about your Stompa... you are crazy! One day, when you least expect it, it will go for a walk. If that day coincides with me posting pictures with Laney's gang... check the background. MUAHAHAHAH!!!! Twisted Evil

Welcome home, Battle Brother Shrike... welcome home.
