| Hi Guys, I though I'd post this now as I will probably wrap it soon. I only have the eyes on the three 'shoulder heads' to do and then it is finished. It looks very messy this close up - but step back from the screen and I think it looks ok. Quite pleased with the mixed rust effects. He's a Nurgle chaos lord, which I started for my Nephews birthday in the Summer but never finished (I bought him a Daemon Prince instead), so I thought I'd complete it for Christmas... | I'm going to brighten up some of the orange tones on the model - having looked at some superior Nurgle lords on the internet - and take some natural light pictures (so all the blemishes in the paintwork are hidden!). Laney |

| Your nephew is a lucky guy. This is an awesome model which captures one aspect of Nurgle very faithfully without going overboard and becoming a catastrophic mess (of which there are many examples in the world). Painting Nurgle doesn't mean you can afford to paint badly 'because its Nurgle'. This model is a good example of how an excellent painter can make a model look sloppy and dirty without being sloppy and dirty.
I might have to steal some painting techniques for my Chaos Cultists, if you don't mind. |
