| Mordheimer asked me to post this here, as he thought you guys would get a kick out of it!
In September there was a lot of buzz in Morkchester - one of the older back streets was being used as a films set! The buildings were all dressed as 1940s New York, with posters, mailboxes, fire hydrants, shop-fronts, street lights and signs. 1940s American cars, taxis, trucks and bikes rolled up and down the street. Extras dress in 40s clothes lingered on corners looking cold and chatted in groups out-of-shot clutching hot drinks and plates of food. Every so often a blonde man in a vest ran full-pelt down the street - chasing a speeding swerving yellow cab. Crowds of people crained their necks to get a glimps and many (myself included) got repeatedly ticked-off by security guards for taking photos. Captain America: The First Avenger was in Manchester for a month, filming some of the origin story. All this super-hero frenzy in town started my Orky brain going and this bit of frippery is the result. I'll be using him as a Nob in my Blood Axe Ork army, (if I every get round to playing 40K again!) Hope you like it!      Here's the (quite small amount of) Greenstuff work later on today.      |
