I have finished an Ogryn model (inspired by Mudboy's cool Renegade in progress, not to mention Golfahg), he needs some paint, but I am happy with most of the GS work.




Here are the last 4 recruits - two are modified from previous models I wasn't happy with (but now I am ).

Wow! The Orgyn is great and nice work on the other guys.

I knew a Gunnery Sgt. who looked EXACTLY like your Ogryn...despite that a VERY COOL mini. The other Lads are pretty sharp too. VERY NICE WORK!

I intend to give the Ogryn (no name yet) a paint job in the next couple of days. I just had to do the beret! I also have a special 'pilot' model planned that I was thinking about in the car on the way home today.

Medical Orderly Alvin P. Brogdingnagian

Bizarrely, this mountain of meat who enjoys nothing more than raining death on enemies of the Golden Throne was originally recruited from his deathworld as a medical orderly. Regarded as the runt of the litter, it was felt by a singly inept Administratum recruitment officer that he was only useful for fetch and carry. Following the Medicae Massacre of Seller's Canyon he was the sole survivor on either side. He emerged a little smoky and dusty but otherwise unharmed carrying the torn head of the Chaos Marine Commander Zarael the Viscious. He then underwent extensive Bone'ead augmentation before being assigned to the 13th Varangian Gamma Commando. Satellite picts of this battle recovered by the relief force two weeks later, showed evidence that Brogdingnagian had engaged in an extended hit and run guerilla war against the remaining chaos forces, following the destruction of his Medicae unit.

I've finished my Thunderbolt Pilot (based loosely on the forgeworld thunderbolt pilot - which I can't afford!)...

Thanks - I was pleased with how the pilot worked out I might need to try another one. The head is from the old sentinel kit. I had a few in my bitz box from an ebay purchase a while ago.

Alvin the Ogryn was a mild mannered medical assistant used to fetch and carry, until Chaos destroyed his family (the medicae unit) and flipped a switch in him. He is now a stone cold killing machine, bent on revenge against everything not imperial. He refuses to be given a new title (even turning down Corporal First Class - with shiny buttons), but has fitted in perfectly with the near suicidal Gamma Commandos. So he will have a couple of red crosses on him (reminding him of the friends he lost, especially little Mikey) - but no syringes.
