| You better go see the bad doc and have your head checked, because that table is INSANE! Is this terrain growing up from the styrofoam out of your fever nightmares, or did you develop some intricate blueprints first? I suppose a little more color variaton will be in order once the landscape is complete, yes? |

Having worked in a closed psychiatric ward I can attest that the Folk on the inside are saner than the Folk on the outside.

The Beasty started out with a few sketches & some notes. Once I start on something, it just grows in a spontaneous manner. It's in part inspired by Jim Hensom, Tim Burton, Dave Andrews, & Bugs Bunny. Like the central Mushroom Tower, all the rock formations will be sprouting stuctures in various forms of dilapidation/decrepitude; all inter-connected by bridges, walkways, ladders et al.

Oh most definitely...the black with white dry-brush is how I prime ALL my stuff. |

| Deaf... this is INSANE! Right now, you PRIMING still leaves me speech-less. A record only you can hold. To me looks amazing... and then I remember that for you this is priming. Now... few questions. I do not want to sound disrespectful or anything. I'm 99.9% sure of the answer, but I just want to be sure. Will this be a playable table? I mean, some of the places seem SO high! Or are you planing to do a giant diorama, worth of a museum?! Can't wait to see things finished. _________________ . | It will mostly be a gaming board. There will be a LOT of crosswalks & bridges connecting the buildings at different levels. When I did up the first Bar Wars board characters got extra swashbuckling/notoriety experience depending on the level on which the action to place....no guts; no glory. |

The fall &, more importantly, the landing add a certain excitement to the combats. The top of O'Leery's Tower, where the Steam Powered mushroom Observatory will be, is 30" above the oh-so-hard-and-unforgiving ground...a definite SPLAT! |

| I wouldn't even be able to store terrain of that magnitude. _________________ Arachas - The one who changes Avatars more than Lady Gaga changes costumes - Bursting with Dev-Powah™!!Tau Squad Co-Lead Designer |

Based on the pictures on your battle reports, you can barely stand in your apartment one you have any table setup!! _________________ . The Mordheimer - Death Squads' Chief Editor & Ninja Designer. | Just to add my own comments: awesome. The Burton influence is very clear and absolutely true to type. I find his style phenomenally beautiful in its intricacy and bizarre grandeur both of which you have captured.
At the moment it seems like you are exclusively using pink foam, will you be introducing new materials into the mix later on or do you find that the foam is adaptable enough to be used for everything you need?
I'm intrigued by the concept of post-apocalyptic Mordheim, surely the original Mordheim is already facing the apocalypse? Is this a Necromunda / Mordheim blend, or a completely new setting to compliment the board?
Excellent work, thank you for sharing
Edited to add: Bar Wars? I did a search on TBMF and Google but couldn't find anything. Could you please enlighten us, or will I have to go hire a PI? |

Thanks for the kind words. While I can't make any claims at grandeur, bizzarre/absurd are my thing.

It's mostly pink & blue foam with some florist foam, balsa & bass wood, plumber's epoxy, & various & sundry thingies.

I was doing the "what if" thingy that the Comet that hit Mordheim was an opening shot in a war between the Gods of Law & Goodness & those Chaos Fellows for control of the Yet-Unnamed-Planet & the Celestial Law Mower (T.Pratchett) which will leave most of the place a real wreck.

You're most welcome.

I had done up a multilevel Mordheim board that one of my patrons eventually got. It was a bit smaller than a coventional board but quite high & represented the "Red Light" District. Conflict between the drinking establishments produced a regular series of brutal melees between teams of 2-6 Warriors representing their favored watering hole. This in turn became a major spectator sport like a more violent form of Blood Bowl. It was based on my Dad's Church Bowling League.
