| This looks like it may be worth a gander this fall. One can never see enough Zombies. At least I can't.

| Huge fan of the comic and with the production crew and the preview it looks to be very close to the comics story. |

| Yeah, I didn't realize it was based of a comic until watching the official trailer. I am interested in checking the comics out now. Does the comic share the same name? |

| Haven't read the comics myself, so from a completely outsider point-of-view I say: meh.
There's a hundred movies about this, and now we need a series? The comics must be really good then. So far I've only watched the trailer, but I found the acting to be mediocre and zombies fake-looking. Lots of make-up, not even well done. Sure there was some CGI, but by now we know CGI doesn't make the film/series.

| FAKE MAKEUP? Wow... The "bicycle girl" half-zombie was awesome. There is a 'making off' about her. Even the model/actress they cast for the role is SUPER skinny! I have not read the graphic novel... so from a 'virgin' point of view, it seems very interesting. My question to you, Arachas... can you mention a movie that follows the same plot? I mean, attempting to find someone specifically. The police office (Rick Grimes) gets wounded by a gunshot and wakes up in an Apocalyptic world; he found two survivors that makes him his wife & kid are alive... he sets to search for them. Not super gory... I saw several places I could place a zombie for a nice scare... but the work (story) is intelligent. The dialog and acting was not bad... and the photography was spectacular. To me it was NOT about zombies chomping on our hero, or about the hero killing zombies. Rick walks through dozens (if not hundreds) of covered corpses (I noticed they all had head wounds) that reminded me of how they packed the dead in Haiti after the earthquake... when he sees the first zombie (bicycle girl) he even 'humanizes' her, going back, tracking her down and leaning close (but not too close!) and mutters "Sorry this was done to you... BANG!" The guy runs away at every opportunity he can and when trapped, he shots to kill. The series seems not to be about cheap thrills using zombies/skeletons/ghouls/vampires/undead... it seems to be about Rick's struggle with his own humanity... lost love (missing kid), unsolved issues (he was having issues with her), loneliness (he is alone!), founding similar minded people (well... at least not zombies!) All in all, I thought it was going to be a horror thing. I was wrong. It turned out to be a human drama thing, with zombies. THAT is !!! _________________ .
