THEY CAME FROM THE WARPed mind of yours truly!

This is, in a vague & rambling way, an introduction to the LOVELY photos Our Own Mordheimer took of my Swizzle Stick Lads. For those with INQUIRING MINDS &/OR AN APPALLING LACK OF JUDGMENT, the Lads derive the title of Swizzle Stick Lads from their humble origins: They were a gift, partially to induce moi to get into 40K & partially to assuage a guilty conscience, from an erstwhile patron/acquaintance . When I got them they were caked..."painted" would NOT give an adequate description ...in paint with swizzle sticks stuck on the ends of their "shootas" in a TRULY POOR attempt to turn them into "big shootas". Being a bloody minded Old Coot I improved(?) them with my sniper shooter conversions.

THEY ARE HERE!, whenever Himself has nothing better to do with his time, are the first few of The Lads. The remainder will be off for photography early next week AND WILL THEN BE INFLICTED ON THE UNWARY!

Heheheh... I posted the pics for Deaf. Since they were not THAT many. One of the model was damaged, so I need to fix it... and Deaf is sending me the REST. Also... he plans to sell those in eBay! So if you want them...

Very cool - love the textures your painting style create. It must be very labour intensive (shamelessly fishing for technique clues).

My favourite has to be Long Shot - he needs a targeting squig though!

Long shot & Over Kill [not yet shown] are also my favorites in the group.
The e-Bay thingy is partially to shamelessly enrich myself, but MOSTLY to have the Lads get a chance to see some action on the table top, which is HIGHLY unlikely if I horde them...having them wind up in the collections of friends here & at T.B.M.F. would be a REAL PLUS.

@Eliazar: one never knows when some strange package from The States might wind up in the mail box.

My favorite so far is Mack Duff. C'mon!!! He has a looted Space Marine Shoulder Pad!

Fantastic! Mad Dog is the best, IMO. The Freehand Script on the Bases is fantastic! If only I could do that, or find suitable Lettering Transfers...

Thanks, Popsicle! The script is actually just a matter of practice & getting the right consistency to the paint; spacing is the hard part...one of the reasons I love round bases.

Mordheimer received the rest of the Gang last week: SO you should have some more ASTOUNDING PHOTOS to DAZZLE YOUR MINDS...or not...soon.

Ahhh... I have been thrown in front of the bus. I better get the pics! HA! Deaf... check your email. I need to finish the 1st batch... so I can start with the 2nd, 3rd AND 4th!
