Ok I hate dubble posting but heres some fluff on my Catachans

Captain Wilber "Dead Head" Regals

Wilber is the Captain of the 501st Catachan's 3rd company. He is a large man even for a Catachan though not as big as the famous Harker, he can take the heavy recoil of his "Astartes MK Vb Godwyn pattern bolter" with ease. His nick name, as all Catachans want a name, came from when he was fighting 'nids on the world of Golotha, when he smacked his Commisar in the face for "exacuteing" ...

I have made the decision to make an Imperial Renegade squad. I wanted a full 15 man squad for starters so i didn't need to add anything later.

So here is the work done so far. please forgive the conversions, and general appearance. This inspiration was spurred on by mother energy drinks, no sleep and night shift.

Commander [power sword, Lil Burner] will add a 2nd ranged weapon on to this fig so he can still shoot after he's used the lil burner.

Imperial Guard, Catachan Jungle Fighters (The Eye Pokers) vs Chaos Cultists (Nurgle)

It has been almost a week and scouts had confirmed the Captain's suspicions; the Chaos Cultists we preparing for summoning a daemon. Knowing what he knew, Captain Lance understood the consequences. The 10th/95th Varangian had been assigned to the relative backwater of the Peradephus Forgehive in the far south of the central continent of Varangia. Reismann felt that the 10th were being pushed into the background, rather than redeem themselves on a real battlefield, just to save the coward Simmersen from the disgrace and death he deserved.
I really wasnt to sure on where this should go.

THis game seems to be designed around the Imperial Gaurd and Eldar, which is cool, but it also makes it difficult to add space marines. When it came to points and squad size I think the rules should have been disigned around a Space Marine squad of 5 to ten men with one heavy and a special weapon. Then the points for all of the other races would have fell into place a little easier. I do like the concept, small squads of 40k. Adding space ...

The Chaos Cultists are ALMOST ready to get out the door, but they will definitely miss this release. Not to worry... we will release them and the Kroot soon after. When you ask? Way before Tax Day (April 15th).

Well, this came about after the creation of a very.....significant special rule for, or course, the shotgun.

The shotgun allows you to have 2 shots at a 12" range, but it allows you to roll a scatter die after wounding for random direction and a distance of 1". After much thought, I choose a tactic that would "allow" (quoted because it IS random......or is it.....) you to bounce your target down a long range of guns, whilst only exposing the front model to return fire ...

I have originally come fro the 'Nid hive, to Dakka and now I'm trying out the rules. So far they seem VERY good and well done to the creators.

I'm a regular at my local GW store in Poole, Britain and am considering brining these rules along with me.

After a quick look in the Rulebook I found the "Hired Guns" section. In my opinion one of the best things of Mordheim were the Hired Swords. It was such fun to save gold so you could hire that ogre or slayer. So it's a good thing that there are Hired Guns in Death Squads, but my question is: "are there going to be more?"

WIA had some nice entries, perhaps some inspiration could be taken from those?

Dark Angels Terminators... taking a dip!

Well... after talking with Dozer, we both agreed that we needed further tests. Me, being the complete SUCKER I'm, again volunteered to work more! We wanted to resolve a hypothesis;

Is the Dipping Technique the great equalizer? Will dipping models "erase" mistakes made by newbies?

We all have seen the player with lots of unpainted models that complaint that painting is 'too hard' and when they finally try, they work 'sucks'. Well, I guess that also expect to pick up an electric ...

hi,

found this site when I was on Tom's Boring Mordheim Forum Board.

I wanted a skirmish game that gave each person in the squad the ability to grow instead of just the officer. I was planning on do a Space crusade re-vamp [basically the Space crusade game with newer version minis] but it seems I may have to drop that and look at Death Squad instead.....

thx guys.

Cheers

Saying Hello

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum (in fact this is my 1st post on any 40k forum - I usually just nick great ideas from them!). I only found out about death squads a couple of days ago - while looking for modelling ideas - and I was inspired to create an urban fighters squad called the 10th/95th South Varangian Rifles, lead by Captain Alex 'Ice Cold' Reismann. I've modelled the squad - mostly using miniatures I'd got for other purposes (will post WIP pics when I get some done). Now I've just got ...

Game 3 - Nurgle Cultists

Well, I guess its that time...... Since I did not play Mordheimer last night, I can't rely on him to post a battle report. So.....here is a basic order of how things went last night as well as some relection on what went wrong.....or right, depending on your point of view.

Last night was game 3 of our test campaign, and I played against jd3 who has a Tzeentch Cultist squad. Now what you must understand is that when Jd3 and I play each other, nothing ends well......for either of us. It is ...
